REGINA & SOUTHERN SASK.

The fantastic news continues for Top 7 Over 70! A new chapter of Top 7 Over 70 for Regina & Southern Saskatchewan has officially launched. Organizers are keeping people up to speed with their event at 7over70southsask.ca and that website includes a great countdown clock that shows how many days are left to nominate someone to be part of the first Top 7 Over 70 class in Saskatchewan.

Nominations are open from now until Jan. 15, 2027. Click here for details.

The inaugural celebration will occur April 28, 2027 at the Turvey Centre in Regina and here’s more big news: Former senator (and broadcasting legend) Pamela Wallin will be the host of the event! Importantly, net proceeds from this gala will support the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan and its work with people living with dementia and their care partners.

Ticket information will be available in the near future at https://7over70southsask.ca/#gala .

Questions about nominations and sponsorships can be directed to Janson Anderson at 306-533-0947 or top7over70@saskfoundation.ca .

Here’s the latest from the Regina & Southern Saskatchewan Top 7 Over 70 organizing committee:

A New Chapter Can Make a Big Difference

Turning 70 is often treated as a finish line. Top 7 Over 70™ celebrates a different story: people continue to discover new possibilities, take on new challenges and contribute in meaningful ways throughout their lives.

This is not a lifetime achievement award. It recognizes what someone has begun, meaningfully revived or reinvented after turning 70 — and the difference that work is making now.

Achievements may come from agriculture, business, science, education, health and wellness, arts and culture, philanthropy, volunteerism, community leadership or any other field. There are no fixed award categories.

“Turning 70 is not the end of someone’s story — it can be the beginning of an extraordinary new chapter. Top 7 Over 70™ will recognize people who continue to create, lead, serve and inspire.”
— Todd Klink, Event Chair
