On Oct. 21, 2025, the Calgary chapter of Top 7 Over 70 held its fifth awards gala at the Hyatt Regency, honouring its fifth group of Top 7 Over 70 recipients: Dr. Marvin Fritzler, Esmail Bharwani, Jackie Bromley, Alf Fischer, Gerry Darichuk, Neil Webber and Ron Freckleton. An eighth recipient also received an award: the Honourable Lois Mitchell was the recipient of the Special Recognition Award. It was only the second time this award has been handed out by Top 7 Over 70 organizers.
